However, the organizers maintain the right to reproduce for publicity or printed versions.
The winning works will be shown in print and on websites.

Your photo-haiku

1. Submissions must include a previously unpublished photo and haiku, both by the applicant, to which the applicant holds sole copyright.
2. Only submit photos that include people if you have obtained their consent to be photographed and for the photos to be published.
3. There is no limit to the number of submissions in this category.

Haiku on a set theme

1. Submit only haiku related to the 14 photos.
2. You may only submit one haiku for each of the 14 photos, i.e., 14 at the most.
3. Submissions must be previously unpublished haiku by the applicant.
4. Be sure not to mistake the number of the photo that goes with the haiku.

Guidelines for English haiku submitted to the Setouchi-Matsuyama International Photo-Haiku Contest

1. When applying, provide your name (real name), country of residence, phone number and email address. If this information is incomplete, the submission will not be accepted.
2. If the winner cannot be contacted in person by phone or email, the award will be cancelled.
3. A notice confirming that your submission has been received will be sent by email. Once you have submitted your haiku, it is not possible to make any changes.

Personal information policy

Personal information submitted by applicants will be used for making contact and sending prizes. It will not be used for any other purpose, nor will it be made available to third parties without permission.
After informing the winners, we will publish the name of the author (pen name or real name) and country of residence. If it appears that the rules for applying have not been followed, the organizer may cancel any award given and the haiku will not be published.
