■ Notes for applications

The copyright of winning works will belong to the organizers.
(The winning works will be shown in print and on websites.)

Haiku on a set theme

  1. Submit only a Haiku related to the photo themes.
  2. Each applicant may submit one work related to a particular Photo. (There are 12 photo themes, and you may submit one Haiku for each.)
  3. Submissions must be previously unpublished Haiku made by the applicant.
  4. Be sure not to mistake the numbers of the Photos that goes with the Haiku.

■ Personal information policy

Personal information submitted by applicants will be used for making contact and sending prizes. It will not be used for any other purpose, nor will it be made available to third parties without permission. After informing the winners, we will publish the name of the author (pen-name or real name), county and municipality. If it appears that the rules for applying have not been followed, the organizer may cancel any award given and the haiku will not be published.

■ Announcement

After the selection, winners will be informed by phone or email in early March 2019.
Prize-winners will be announced on the website.

■ Rules for English Haiku submitted to the Setouchi Matsuyama International Photo-Haiku Contest

  1. When applying, provide your name (real name), country, municipality, phone number and email address. If this information is incorrect, the submission will be excluded from judgement.
  2. If the winner cannot be contacted in person by phone or email, the award will be cancelled.
  3. A notice confirming that your submission has been received will be sent by email. Once you have submitted your haiku, it is not possible to make any changes, so please take care when you submit it.
