■ Notes for applications

The copyright of winning works will belong to the organizers.
(The winning works will be shown in print and on websites.)

Haiku on a set theme

  1. Submit only a haiku related to the photo themes.
  2. Each applicant may submit one work related to a particular photograph. (There are 12 photo themes, and you may submit one haiku for each.)
  3. Submissions must be previously unpublished haiku made by the applicant.
  4. Be sure not to mistake the numbers of the photographs.

■ Personal information policy

Personal information submitted by applicants will be used for selecting winners, making contact and sending prizes. It will not be used for any other purposes not agreed by the applicant. Nor will it be disclosed to third parties without permission. After informing the winners, we will publish the name of the author (pen-name or real name), country and municipality. If the rules for application are deemed to have been infringed, the award may be cancelled and the haiku may not be published at the organizer's discretion.

■ Announcement

In late January,2018 we will contact the winners directly by e-mail or phone. On February 3 (Saturday) International photo haiku event will be held at Shiki Memorial Museum in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. We will announce prize-winning works at the event venue. Winning works will be announced on the contest special site after February 5, 2018 (Monday).

  1. When applying, provide your name (real name), country, municipality, phone number and email address. If this information is illegible, the submission will be excluded from judgement.
  2. If the winner cannot be contacted in person by phone or email, the award will be cancelled. The application reguirements of this contest may be changed or cancelled without a prior notice on account of the organisers.
